Mooting
Preliminary rounds of the Bell Gully Mooting competition will take place at the Law School. Seminar 2 and the Moot Court are on the first floor of Building 801. Please assemble at the Bell Gully banner in the foyer of the Law School 15 minutes before the start of each round in order to begin each moot on time.
The first named team shall be the appellant.

Final
The final will be held in High Court One at 2pm on Saturday 1 September and will be judged by Mr Ian Gault, Justice Chambers and Justice Winkelmann. Please see the map for information on how to get to the venue.
Mr Ian Gault
Ian specializes in commercial dispute resolution, particularly in intellectual property, competition law, international trade and public law.
A partner at Bell Gully since 1997, Ian has many years of experience providing advice and advocacy in large, complex and often high profile cases, and a broad range of litigation matters. Ian regularly appears as counsel in the courts, and also has experience before other tribunals including arbitrations and Commissions of Inquiry.
Justice Chambers
Justice Robert Chambers graduated LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland in 1975 and in 1978 gained a doctorate from the University of Oxford. He commenced practice as a barrister in 1981 and was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 1992. He was appointed to the High Court in 1999, and to the Court of Appeal in January 2004.
Justice Winkelmann
Justice Helen Winkelmann graduated BA, LLB from the University of Auckland in 1984 and was admitted to the bar in 1985. She was a partner at Phillips Fox from 1988 until she began practice as a barrister sole in May 2001, specializing in insolvency and commercial litigation. Justice Winkelmann was appointed a High Court judge in July 2004 and is based in Auckland.
